Holy Eucharist, Rite I, 7 PM in the Chapel – Commemoration of All Faithful Departed with a reading of the Memorial List.

+Tuesday

- Holy Eucharist, Rite I, 10 AM in at St. Bede’s, Requiem for Jane Carpenter; a reception follows the committal in the Memorial Garden.

+Wednesday

- Fostering Attachment Court childcare volunteer training at St. Timothy’s 9:30 AM

- Craft Group meets at St. Timothy's, 10 AM - Noon

- Inquirer's Class & “Living in the Kingdom” 7 PM at St. Timothy's.

+Thursday

- Diocesan Convention Opening Eucharist, 7 PM at St. Paul’s Church, Salem.

+Friday

-Day of special acts of self-denial and prayer in thankful observance of the Crucifixion of Our Lord.

- Convention convenes at Salem Convention Center, 8:30 AM

+Saturday

- Greek Orthodox mission church at St. Timothy's, 9 AM

- Diocesan Convention (final session): 8:30 - Noon


+Next Sunday (11/9): The 26th Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 27 of Year A

-8 AM: Holy Eucharist

-9 AM: Christian Education for Children, Youth, Adults (Nursery open)

-10 AM: Holy Eucharist (Nursery available for children up to 1st grade; Godly Play for children 3 years old to 1st Grade)

Adult education topic this week at 9 AM: The Eastern Orthodox Church

An opportunity to learn more about one of the great traditions in Christianity. Once much of Eastern Christianity was locked behind the Iron Curtain; today it is increasingly having an impact on Western Christian life and spirituality; it certainly has had a significant influence at St. Timothy’s. Led by Jim Whitney and Michael McFetridge.

Sunday Food Donation: We are focusing on canned soup this month. Donation baskets are by the font on your way into the nave.


Other Upcoming Events 

+ Sunday, Nov. 23: Christ the King Sunday

- Pledges for the 2009 Budget will be collected and blessed at both liturgies.

- Guest preacher/speaker at Adult education and after the 10 AM liturgy fromFood for the Poor.” Sponsored by the Missions Commission. This will be a special “Mission Focus Sunday” in our life.

+Thanksgiving Eve Service at St. Paul’s Church, Salem

If you are unable to attend St. Timothy’s on Thanksgiving Day, this is your opportunity to give thanks to God for the blessings of the year past.

+Thanksgiving Day Eucharist at St. Timothy’s – 10 AM

Fr. Robert Burton, rector of St. Paul’s, will be our guest preacher. Members of St. Paul’s are being invited to share this liturgy with us. An opportunity will be given for those attending to write their thanksgivings, which will then be placed on the altar to be blessed and offered to God.

+Advent Sunday Brunch/Inter-age Advent Wreath Party – 11/30

Following the 10 AM liturgy, a special brunch will be offered in the Parish Hall. We will make Advent wreaths and learn more about the season as well as how to observe it in the home. Bring a friend or children you know would enjoy this special activity. All parishioners are invited to participate!


+Standing Notices

- The Church Office is open most weekdays from 9 AM to Noon, and from 1 PM to 3 PM.

- Articles for the monthly parish newsletter (St. Timothy’sTidings) are due on the 15th of each month.

- Please have items for the Sunday bulletin to the Church Office by the Wednesday prior.

- Vestry normally meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. If you would like to communicate something to the Vestry, please contact the Senior Warden (Ruth Speaker), the Junior Warden (Ron DeWilde), or Fr. Brandon. Vestry meetings are normally open to all parishioners.

- Fr. Brandon’s days off are Friday and Saturday (when practical).

- Please keep our intercessions up to date by contacting the Church Office with any corrections, deletions, updates or (especially) thanksgivings.
